"These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God."
A road sign is not the destination. Its purpose is to direct travelers toward something beyond itself. In the same way, biblical signs and wonders are meant to point people toward Jesus, reveal the compassion and authority of God, and invite people to believe the gospel.
Jesus performed miracles because He cared about suffering people and because the works revealed the arrival of God's kingdom. The blind received sight, the oppressed found freedom, and the hungry were fed. These acts demonstrated His identity and confirmed the truth of His message.
We must never pursue signs in a way that distracts us from Christ. Spiritual experiences should be tested by Scripture and evaluated by their fruit. Genuine works of the Holy Spirit honor Jesus, agree with biblical truth, strengthen faith, produce humility, and lead people toward repentance and obedience.
When God heals, provides, delivers, or intervenes, the glory must return to Him. The person through whom God works is only a servant. Pride and exaggeration can redirect attention away from the One whom the sign was meant to reveal. Integrity protects both people and the testimony of Christ.
We may pray boldly for God to demonstrate His power while submitting every outcome to His wisdom. Not every prayer is answered in the same way or timing. Faith continues to trust God's character even while waiting, and compassion remains present whether the answer is immediate or gradual.
Keep Jesus at the center of every testimony. The greatest wonder is still a sinner forgiven, reconciled to God, and transformed through the gospel. Ask God to reveal His power in ways that serve people, confirm truth, and cause hearts to recognize Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Do I desire God's power so that Jesus will be glorified, or so that people will be impressed?
Application
Pray for God to intervene in a specific need. Commit beforehand to testify truthfully about Jesus and give Him all the credit.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, reveal Your power in ways that point people to Jesus. Keep my motives pure and my heart humble. Let every miracle, answer, and testimony produce faith in Your Son. In Jesus' name, Amen.
