"When He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them."
Jesus did not look at lost people with annoyance, indifference, or superiority. He saw their confusion, pain, bondage, and spiritual need, and He was moved with compassion. His response reveals the heart God desires to form within everyone who follows Him.
Revival restores this compassion to the church. When our hearts draw close to God, we become concerned about people who do not know Him. Evangelism becomes more than a duty or church program; it becomes the overflow of love for people whom Jesus died to save.
It is easy to discuss the condition of the world while remaining distant from those who are hurting. Jesus entered people's lives. He listened, touched the rejected, welcomed children, ate with sinners, and spoke truth with grace. Compassion moved Him toward brokenness rather than away from it.
Compassion does not ignore sin or remove the call to repentance. It simply refuses to treat people as enemies. It remembers that every believer also needed mercy. The gospel is not a weapon for winning arguments; it is good news announcing forgiveness, freedom, reconciliation, and new life through Christ.
Sometimes fear keeps us from reaching out. We worry about rejection, awkwardness, or not knowing what to say. Compassion helps us move beyond ourselves. We can begin by listening, serving, praying, and forming sincere relationships. The Holy Spirit can guide ordinary conversations toward eternal truth.
Ask God to break your heart for those who are far from Him. Refuse the comfort of indifference. Let compassion lead you to consistent prayer, practical kindness, patient friendship, and courageous witness. When people encounter the love of Jesus through us, their hearts may become open to His saving grace.

Write down the names of three people who need Christ. Pray for them consistently and look for a sincere way to demonstrate God's love.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, give me the compassion of Jesus. Forgive my indifference and help me see people through Your eyes. Use my words and actions to lead others toward Your saving grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
