"Stir up the gift of God which is in you."
Spiritual fire speaks of passion, purity, devotion, and holy desire. Yet even sincere believers can become tired. Disappointment, routine, prolonged battles, and neglected spiritual disciplines may cause the flame of devotion to grow weak. God does not condemn our weariness; He invites us to return and be renewed.
Paul encouraged Timothy to stir up the gift within him. Timothy was not told to wait passively until he felt motivated. He was to remember God's calling, reject fear, and faithfully use what had been entrusted to him. Fresh fire often comes as we begin obeying again.
Renewal begins at the altar of surrender. God may need to remove the ashes of past failure, bitterness, pride, distraction, or discouragement. Ashes are evidence of yesterday's fire, but they cannot provide today's flame. We honor past encounters without attempting to live entirely upon them.
Fresh fire is not uncontrolled excitement or spiritual noise. God's fire produces holy love, courageous witness, disciplined service, and faithful obedience. It warms cold hearts and brings light into darkness. It directs attention toward Jesus rather than making the person who carries it the center of attention.
If your passion has weakened, do not pretend that everything is fine. Bring your dryness honestly before God. Return to prayer, open His Word, worship even before your emotions change, and begin using the gift you have neglected. Small acts of obedience can become fuel upon the altar.
God is able to renew what has grown weary and awaken what has been dormant. Ask Him for fresh fire, but also prepare to tend the flame through daily fellowship and faithful service. Let renewed passion produce a life that burns steadily for God's glory rather than briefly for human attention.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, breathe fresh fire into my spiritual life. Remove discouragement, complacency, and distraction. Renew my love for You and help me use every gift You have given me for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
